I am a college professor who is working on a book about Bunnies who went on to earn Ph.D.s. My area of research is women and communication and the role of women in media and society. I have long been interested in the ways women are perceived and depicted in the media and I am interested in deconstructing the popular notion that brains and beauty are mutually exclusive. I'm also researching the expectations women have of themselves due to media influences and what leads women to reach for the pinnacle in various areas of life.
I am conducting a series of interviews of women who have been either Playboy bunnies or Playmates and went on to earn Ph.D.s. I would greatly appreciate any leads on contacting former Bunnies who fit that category. The book is a collection of oral histories that will speak to the roles of women in the United States in the 21st century.
Can anyone on this list help? |

hi there. i didnt quite go on to get my phd., but have certainly studied hard and have heaps of qualifications in working with people with a dementing illness.
that is what i do as a job., and am quite highly qualified and sought after to work with peoples loved ones suffering from dementia.
did you know that within 10 years, dementia will be the leading disease, over heart disease and cancer? quite scary really. we are all in the same big random pool no matter who we are or what we have!
i am quite sure that altho, minus the phd., you would be amazed to learn how many bunnies have gone on to be business owners, phsycologists etc.etc.
good luck with your book. i hope that you have a huge success.
cheers,
pepper. _________________ Bunny Pepper Photo Album

just a little post script. the majority of bunnies, most certainly whom i worked with were very intelligent ladies.
lets face it, we all had our **** together enough to know how to utilize our atributes to our sole advantage.
any 'dumb bunnies' would never have survived in our environment!

I am surprised at how little is known about the bunnies.....99% were college students...especially in the Century Club....we have many ladies who became lawyers, nurses, psychologists, anchor women....there were even a couple of Dr's....Many Many are still selling real estate...teachers....I could continue to name many occupations....
The club allowed us to study when we weren't busy...I am eternally grateful for the support I received...during my "bunny years"...I learned so much at work and at school! |
