This was taken at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital during the Christmas show. Phyllis took the three of us (Bunny Chere, me and Bunny Francoise) and made us part of her sketch on stage. Afterwards, we walked among the patients and chatted with them until we boarded the Bunny bus back to the Hollywood Hutch.

So many men there were WWII veterans missing limbs, or so severely wounded that they would never leave their beds again. Bringing smiles to their faces and joy to their hearts was an experience I'll never forget. That was probably the best Christmas I ever had.

Chere Davis Bryson went on appear in many movies, turning her talents to acting and stunt work. Francoise and her husband, Olympic skier Stein Eriksen, own a ski lodge in Deer Park, Utah.
