Hello,
I was Bunny Terri working as a croupier at the Playboy Club in London, 1970/1.
My husband worked at the Palm Beach Casino at the time. He was going off to work as I was coming home. We were not seeing as much of each other as we wished so I thought to myself what night job could I do?
A Playboy Bunny? Yes they would work nights and my husband would be able to pick me up from work when we finished. I went for the interview and was delighted when I was offered the job.
A funny coincidence was that the Bunny name I was given was the same as my husband's, Terry.
Thinking about it all these years later I must have been one of the few Bunnies who was married at the time they started working as a Playboy Bunny.
Can I ask if anyone knows was there any other girls who were also married when they first started working as a Bunny?
We are still very much in love and will be celebrating our 37 year anniversary next month.
To finish can I also ask:
Is it only me or are there other Bunnies who would like to spin the wheel and have a deal again? I can just remember some of the picture bets. Can you?
All the best.
Take care,

Hello Terri.....I was married when I was hired by the Montreal Playboy Club in 1967. I also had children and , at age 27, was the oldest bunny. Keith Hefner asked me to keep my age and marital status a secret and I complied. These restrictions all seem so quaint now, don't they?

Hello Nicole
How interesting the fact that you was both married and a mother at the time you became a Bunny
You must try and find some photos and put a album on the site
I am sure Alan would be more than pleased if you did
Thanks for your reply

Hey Terri,
I too was married during my time at the club. I was with a rock and roll drummer called Eddie. We were married for 13 years. unfortunately he lived off me for all those years and was hopelessly unfaithful all of the time. hahaha!!!!!!!! Needless to say, we are now apart but still in touch from time to time.
It's all good tho. times have marched on and life has just happened.
so many fantastic friends and incredible memories.
Did you do your training at stocks???
What an absoloutley unreal time that was. living in a dormitory with other girls. Michael the very gay but gorgoeusly wacky house keeper and mother to us all. And his little poofy dog called Midnight, who was so loveable but was not allowed to jump from our beds cos she kept breaking her legs.
Oh boy! It's just too surreal and so funny. _________________ Bunny Pepper Photo Album

Hello Pepper
I was pre Stocks
I started off my training as a cocktail but just could not carry the tray
So I changed over to become a croupier
The first night I started work I was told you will just chip tonight
There I was chipping away and the inspector told me to take someone off
That was it I was a dealer from then on end
My husband and I went to a friends party where they had a rollette table
of couse we were the dealers working away just like we had all those years ago
We looked at each other and fell on the floor laughing as the people there were calling out there bets asking for change ect it was so funny
It brought my time at the Playboy right back to me
Nice to hear from you
Take Care
Bunny Terri

hi terri. that is funny. i started as a croupier bunny and changed to cocktail. when i think of it all now, i think, how lucky we were to have such a choice to change over to a job at which we felt more at ease, and yet all under the same umbrella. we were still all bunnies.
isnt it wonderful to be able to look back on our times at such an amazing job?
it is also fantastic to be able to be in touch like this, through the grace of alan, and say hello and share such a unique experience?
i hope you will say hello again when you have the time.

Hi Pepper
I have been meaning to do a few posts on the site and as I started to write things down I started to remember more and more of my time at the Playboy Club.
I think its important to put things down so other people who are interested in Playboy and Bunnies know the true facts like how well we were paid.
The great parties we would go to and all the interesting people we would meet.
I think it was Bunny Sandy who said how hard it is to talk about being a Bunny to people other than other Bunnies.
I think you would agree with me that being a Bunny was also a lot of hard work at times It was not all about standing around looking pretty.
Hope to chat again soon.
Take care.
Love,

Hi Teri, Pepper and of course my good friend Nicole,
How interesting to hear of the different memories we all have of our Bunny days. (Thanks Alan, for giving us the opportunity to share our precious memories.)
I can't remember what my paychecks were....in fact I usually forgot to pick them up. LOL We lived on our tips. And they were good. I think we made $2.00 per hour or some ridiculous figure like that. Did everyone keep their tips in the Crown Royal purple felt bag? And who still remembers the call in sequence for the drinks? I DO!!!!! It will be forever embedded in my brain.
Yes, I still say that being a Bunny, can only be discussed with another Bunny.
I agree Teri, being a Bunny was hard work. Especially in those heels! We worked a lot of party's and also welcomed high rollers into Atlantic City, as soon as they landed at the airport. We got right on the plane and started our speech. "Hello I'm Bunny Sandy and I will be your guide today, through Atlantic City and to the Playboy Casino." LOL It was fun. A lot of those guys (not all were high rollers) never SAW a Bunny and it was amusing to watch their reactions.
On opening night, all of the Bunnies came down the escalator and just flooded the casino floor. People went crazy! One guy looked at me and said "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want". It was so funny. Another time, a guy looked me up and down and very softly said "Nice Shoes". LOL!!!
I was also a married Bunny. I was hired at age 29 and I think there were 2 other girls who were older than me. I was so afraid that there was an age limit and I would be fired when I turned 30!
I had such fun and good times being a Bunny, that even my daily 110 mile round trip commute was not a big deal.
Fun times and great memories.
Love,

Hi Sandy
Its been interesting reading your posts and thank you so much for putting
your photos in your album so that everyone can enjoy them
'I can't remember what my paychecks were....in fact I usually forgot to pick them up'
That had me on the floor laughing
Only on a ex Bunny web site could you find a statement like that
The term Bunny sisters is so true I cant belive how much a like we all are
Very few of us have ever met yet we can chat away like we are true sisters
You might be interested to know that I was out collecting money for animal rights only the other week I also love cats in fact your profile could be mine
I was watching a program about music the other evening and this person was telling a story about one of Johnny Cash backing group he was asked why do the other players play like they did and he played like he did
His answer was that 'they were looking for it and he had found it'
From reading your posts you come over as being happy and in control as do all the other Bunnys its so nice to read
Hope to chat again
Love and Hugs

Hi Terri
Thank you for all of your kind words. What a nice post.
Yes, it is very special that we can all talk with each other, as though we were old friends. We really are! We belong to an exclusive club of sisters. Much like a sorority. When we were all chosen as Bunnies, Playboy was looking for something special in each woman. It doesn't surprise me that so many of us become friends without ever meeting.
We all possess most of the same qualities which made us Bunnies in the first place. First and foremost, being friendly and giving. The more Bunnies I correspond with, the more I see how alike we all are. So many of us are animal lovers which makes me happy. Good for you, for collecting money for the animals! And we all seem to have the ability to pull the long buried memories from our minds, so we can share them with our Bunny sisters.
I will always be grateful to Alan, for making it possible for all of us ladies to remember and share stories, of our unique place in Playboy history.
I enjoy your posts as well Terri. Oh and for as long as I can remember, I've always had a cat. They all lived to a very old age and were so loved. I have one cat now, which I rescued from a restaurant parking lot in Florida, in 1997. Someone had dropped him off there! The cooks were feeding him shrimp and meatballs for a couple months. I fed him as well and when he trusted me, I picked him up. He was already neutered too. How could someone love him enough to have him neutered and then abandon him at a restaurant, on a major highway, with no houses around? My vet said he was about 3 years old, so he's 12 now. He is so affectionate and sweet. I think he knows I rescued him. LOL
Anyway, it was nice chatting with you. Love and hugs to you also.
Love,
