First Post - Thoughts/comments on Playboy Bunnies/Clubs

Hello,
It has taken me some time to think about what I was going to say here. This is my first time posting here and the first time ever posting in a forum.

I have enjoyed reading about the experiences that you all had while being Playboy Bunnies. I have also enjoyed the many photos in everyones albums. Those photos should be treasured and kept for years to be enjoyed by all. I never visited a Plaboy Club and got to see a Playboy Bunny. I was 18 in 1975 and the nearest Clubs to me at the time were Boston and Montreal ( not sure when they closed, will have do some research). I remember going to Boston in 1976/77 to see the Red Sox play but didn't know of anything about a Playboy Club. I wished that I'd have gone to one now. I was collecting Playboy magazines at the time (I think).

I've been able to learn alot about the Clubs and Bunnies by reading THE BUNNY YEARS by Kathryn Leigh Scott. I really enjoyed the book and will reference it many times. I have also started buying the Playboy VIP magazines when ever I can. These are full of info on the clubs and what was going on in them. I also have been able to purchase some of the Playboy Club welcome packets and these are also full of info on the Clubs. From who is going to be the entertainment to what the different rooms were going to have to eat. I've been able to purchase some Playboy Club items directly from their original owners. I have written to some of them and they have told me of their experiences at the Clubs. One of the gentleman was a key holder at the Miami Club. He and his wife went alot and would take their friends with them. He told me that they were always treated very well and the food was excellant.

I also have been able to purchase some of the dinner plates,coffee mugs and glassware that were at the Clubs. I'm trying to get a beer mug from each of the different clubs. I have about 5 right now. It will take me awhile to get them all. I check the different auction sites very often to see what is new. I also will be going to alot of yard sales/flea markets this summer in search of more items. I'm also hoping to be able to go Brimfield,MA at sometime this summer to their HUGE flea market. Do a search on Brimfield ,MA and you'll find the info on it.

I am from Argentina and I am a collector for 40 years. I had the opportunity to travel to USA in 1981 . I was in the Playboy Clubs in New York, Chicago and Los Angels. Really the clubs were fabulous especially in these days. It is wonderful for us, I have 57 years, that young people are interested for the Playboy Clubs. Thank you
