Hello,
This is my name is Bri and I am writing on behalf of Ex-Playboy Bunny PJ from the chicago club. PJ wanted me to let all of you know that our replica playboy costume campaign is back and better than ever.
We know that several of you still own your vintage costumes. However, we also know that those costumes are worth quite a bit and some of them or in no condition to be worn anymore for fear of hurting them. We have your answer. We now have very very good replicas of the playboy costumes. Better than we ever have. These are made from the vintage original pattern and are made with extremely good quality materials.
Right now we are accepting pre-orders to go into manufacturing. We need to meet manufacturers minimums before we can order through our company but, we are very confident that we are going to meet our pre-Halloween delivery just like last year!
The costumes are $599.00 plus shipping and handling and include
a machine washable heavyweight boned satin bodice
a pair of matching posable satin ears
a pair of laces for your bodices side grommets
a white cotton collar
a black standard size clip on bowtie
a pair of white cuffs
a pair of authentic playboy cufflinks
a white plush bunny tail
a white rosette with the name of your choice engraved on it
To join the campaign all we ask is that you put down a $99.00 deposit. Then over the next few months we break up the remaining $500.00 and shipping into three easy payments. When you put down your $99.00 deposit we will ask you to confirm your size and you can vote on the four colors that we will be offering this year in the campaign. But, hurry! Only the first 50 customers will get to vote on colors choices and slots are filling up quickly!
You can visit PJ's site at http://www.pjtv.tv/Playboybunnyshop.htm
You can visit the website I made for the campaign at http://www.evaro.net/bunny
If you would like to see pictures of the costume or have some questions please feel free to e-mail me directly at bunnycostume@yahoo.com and I would be only to happy to help you!
Thanks for taking the time to read our post!

Hi Bri....I've just visited Bunny PJ's web site and the costumes look very attractive but my question is this ---does Playboy Enterprises allow the copying of their trademarked Bunny costumes?

Thanks for your question Nicole,
Before I started working with PJ i do know that Playboy contacted her about the costumes. I can't say for sure what happened but, I do know for whatever reason they didn't take it to court. Based on the few things that PJ has said to me it seems that as long as we don't take this super public - using T.V., Radio etc. and rely mostly on word of mouth or forums it seems that they won't bother us because we aren't making enough money to be worth going after. In reality they would lose more money then they would gain.
On the same note I guess it's just as risky to sell an original costume that you own on a public place or be very vocal that you have one. Apparently Playboy exercises it's rights to sieze costumes that ex-bunnies or collectors have as "stolen property". According to playboy any costume that wasn't sold directly by playboy with it's certificate of verification is stolen property.
If you question is "is it safe to buy one of these costumes" then the answer is yes. |

Hi Keelerphoto.....Money was deducted from our paychecks but Playboy still considered itself owner of the costumes. I can't remember if we signed a contract when we were hired and if that contract stipulated that our costumes reverted to Playboy when we left, but that was certainly the case since we were forbidden from taking any part of it outside the club. However, since we paid for it, it should have belonged to the Bunnies. But my feeling is that Playboy could make a case for the paycheck deductions as a fee for the maintenance and cleaning of the costume. There was a full-time seamstress on the premise whose job it was, amongst her other duties, to let in or out the seams of the bodice according to weight gain or loss and for that dreaded monthly bloating.

I am not a Bunny. I admire every single Bunny here. To have something so close to as an original costume would be absolutely amazing. Are you still creating them???

Hello Erin....The costumes are lovely aren't they? To answer your question--some authentic costumes are available on Ebay but they can be expensive. There is also a former Playboy Bunny that makes replicas but I don't know what the prices are. You might want to check her website at: www.evaro.net/bunny.
Best of wishes, Erin

Sorry I miss this Erin,
Yes, we are still creating our replica bunny costumes and right now we are selling these wonderful replicas for $599.00 with our custom costume campaign. Our costumes are very very close to the originals and are ideal for those who want to wear a bunny costume without degrading the quality of the original they may own, or for those who love the bunny costumes but, can't afford an original. We also have a payment plan for those joining the campaign to make them more affordable. :-)
Here is a picture of me in one of the campaign costumes I own...
If you would like more information please feel free to e-mail me at bunnycostumes@yahoo.com
PJ has a website you can look at and I created one just for the campaign so I have that as well.
Have a wonderful day,
Bunny Bri |
