Hello everyone,
How interesting to hear of the different memories we all have of our Bunny days. (Thanks Alan, for giving us the opportunity to share our precious memories.)
I can't remember what my paychecks were....in fact I usually forgot to pick them up. LOL We lived on our tips. And they were good. I think we made $2.00 per hour or some ridiculous figure like that. Did everyone keep their tips in the Crown Royal purple felt bag? And who still remembers the call in sequence for the drinks? I DO!!!!! It will be forever embedded in my brain.
Yes, I still say that being a Bunny, can only be discussed with another Bunny.
I agree Teri, being a Bunny was hard work. Especially in those heels! We worked a lot of party's and also welcomed high rollers into Atlantic City, as soon as they landed at the airport. We got right on the plane and started our speech. "Hello I'm Bunny Sandy and I will be your guide today, through Atlantic City and to the Playboy Casino." LOL It was fun. A lot of those guys (not all were high rollers) never SAW a Bunny and it was amusing to watch their reactions.
On opening night, all of the Bunnies came down the escalator and just flooded the casino floor. People went crazy! One guy looked at me and said "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want". It was so funny. Another time, a guy looked me up and down and very softly said "Nice Shoes". LOL!!!
I was also a married Bunny. I was hired at age 29 and I think there were 2 other girls who were older than me. I was so afraid that there was an age limit and I would be fired when I turned 30!
I had such fun and good times being a Bunny, that even my daily 110 mile round trip commute was not a big deal.
Fun times and great memories.
Love,
