Only for our silver anniversary ...I was a bunny during the late 70's thru the 80's....the young lady in the picture Danita Jo and I were bunnies together in the gift shop......the silver costumes were miserable to wear! |

" I remember a "Wonder Bread" suit, (red, yellow and blue polka dots, on a white background).....which most girls did not care for......and we prayed not to be given that one. LOL "
Sandy, I remember that particular costume! YIKES! We called it the Wonder Bread as well, although I always called it the Bozo suit because it reminded me of clowns.
The first bunny in our club to wear it was a brand new bunny, right out of training. She was very tall - probably 5'11' in stocking feet - so with the heels, she towered over most of us. We thought maybe our Bunny Mother had momentarily lost her mind by assigning the polka dots to this girl.
But...it brought her luck. She was tipped a hundred dollars within 10 minutes of starting her very first solo shift! |

Hi Laurie,
Good for the Bunny in the Wonder Bread suit, for getting the big tip. Maybe the tipper, was a child of the 50's and was feeling nostalgic. LOL No, I believe you could put a burlap sack on some Bunnies and they would still make the big bucks. It's all about Charisma and Charm.
I really didn't "get" that suit, though. (You're right! It DID look like a clown suit.) It wasn't really flattering to any skin tones, that I could see. Oh well, to each their own.
I got a hundred dollar tip, two nights after we opened our Casino. I was so "green" I didn't yet know, what the color of the chips signified, money wise. Others knew though and screamed their good wishes to me. What a way to start my career. A fond memory.
Love,
